Brent Cross and Totteridge & Whetstone stations take step towards becoming step-free
Anne Clarke, London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden, has welcomed the announcement that Brent Cross and Totteridge & Whetstone stations will undergo a step-free access feasibility study.
TfL announced the work as part of the Mayor of London’s ambition to make 50% of London Underground stations step-free by 2030.
The feasibility study will examine constraints, opportunities and options for making the station step-free.
If successful, TfL will then move forward with detailed design work and finding funding.
Anne Clarke London Assembly Member for Barnet and Camden said “Step-free access at Brent Cross and Totteridge & Whetstone stations would make a huge difference for people with disabilities, older people and parents using pushchairs.
A feasibility study is a promising first step and I will continue to push to ensure TfL follow through.”
