Krupesh Hirani, London Assembly Member for Brent and Harrow, has welcomed the announcement that Queensbury and Preston Road stations will undergo a step-free access feasibility study.

TfL’s announced the work as part of the Mayor of London’s ambition to make 50% of London Underground stations step-free by 2030.

The feasibility study will examine constraints, opportunities and options for making the station step-free.

If successful, TfL will then move forward with detailed design work and finding funding.

Krupesh Hirani London Assembly Member for Brent and Harrow said

“Step-free access at Queensbury and Preston Road stations would make a huge difference for people with disabilities, older people and parents using pushchairs.

A feasibility study is a promising first step and I will continue to push to ensure TfL follow through.”
