About
Before her election to the London Assembly in 2016, Leonie worked in social housing, including as a sustainability manager for a large housing group.
Under Leonie’s leadership, the Environment Committee has published reports on single-use plastic bottles, domestic energy and fuel poverty, parks and open spaces, biodiversity in new housing developments, water leaks, drought and flooding. Recommendations from this work have informed the Mayor’s Environment Strategy and London Plan.
